Gratitude & Gobble in Richmond, Virginia

Let's turn Thanksgiving into a season of gratitude and togetherness in Richmond, Virginia! It's time to slow down, savor the moment, and create lasting memories with our little ones. Being a mom, I’m always looking for ways to may memories and start traditions for my family. It doesn’t have to be HUGE. Really, sometimes it’s the small things that leave the biggest mark.

Here are some fun and meaningful activities to try:

  • Gratitude Jar: Start a family gratitude jar. Each day, write down something you're thankful for and add it to the jar. On Thanksgiving, read them aloud and reflect on all the blessings in your life.

  • Volunteer Together: Give back to the community by volunteering at a local food bank or shelter. It's a wonderful way to teach kids the importance of helping others.

  • Create a Thankful Tree: Decorate a tree with colorful leaves. Each leaf should include something your family is grateful for.

  • Explore Nature: Take a family hike or visit a local park. Nature is a great reminder of the beauty that surrounds us.

  • Cook or Bake Together: Get your little helpers in the kitchen and create delicious Thanksgiving treats. It's a fun way to bond and share the joy of cooking.

Remember, Thanksgiving is more than just a meal; it's about connecting with loved ones and expressing gratitude. Let's make this holiday extra special for our families!
