Summer In Richmond…

I’ve put together your must-do bucket list!  Stay tuned for more things to add to your bucket list!

Well that escalated quickly!! Can you believe it’s already summer? If you’re anything like me it will be over as quick as it came and I’ll be kicking myself for not being intentional with those long days!

As your go-to real estate agent, I'm not only here to help you find the perfect home, but also to ensure you make the most out of every season in beautiful Richmond, VA.

So break out the calendar and put your big rocks in first! Ya know, the fun stuff with the kids. The trips away with your spouse. That roadtrip to see family.  Then build the other stuff around it. If you don’t block it out, it won’t happen. Protect your time and make some memories in 2024. I know that’s my plan.

  • Roadtrip!! - Pack up the car, turn up the tunes, and hit the open road with your favorite people. Explore new cities, try new foods, and make unforgettable memories. Williamsburg is only 1 hour from here, I just love strolling down Duck of Gloucester Street for a step back in time! OR Try a new beach town like Yorktown Beach or Buckroe Beach.

  • Have a picnic in the park - Grab a blanket, a basket full of your favorite snacks, and head to your local park for a relaxing afternoon in the sun. Did you know they do a concert series where dogs are welcome at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens on select Thursdays?

  • Try a new water sport - Whether it's peddle boating at Byrd Park, white water rafting on the James, or fishing at Dorey Park, challenge yourself to try something new on the water this summer. There’s also a pontoon boat rental company at Dorey Park if having wind in your hair is sporty enough.

  • Take a hike - Get in touch with nature and explore the beauty of our area by hitting one of the many hiking trails near by.

  • Have a summer bonfire - Gather your friends, some s'mores ingredients, and enjoy a night under the stars. Catch fireflies and turn your phone off!

  • Go to a baseball game - Cheer on the Richmond Flying Squirrels and enjoy a cold soda and a hot dog at the ballpark. What a view we have!

  • Make Homemade Ice Cream - Nothing says summer to me like ol’ fashioned homemade ice cream. Something about strawberry ice cream that takes me back to childhood. I’m even buying this for my kiddo!

Here it is, a summer bucket list designed to keep you entertained and allow you to be a tourist in our town! And if house hunting tops your list over making s’mores, don’t worry—I’m here to help with that too!  Maybe we can even do both! ;)

So, order those little tiny umbrellas on Amazon (here ya go) and let’s make summer one to remember this year.
